AMORPHOPHALLUS MYOSUROIDES × AMORPHOPHALLUS PULCHELLUS

PARENTAGE:

Amorphophallus myosuroides × Amorphophallus pulchellus

HYBRIDIZER:

Cyrille Claudel

NOTES:

1. Named selections from this cross: 'Majda'.

2. Cyrille Claudel: Amorphophallus myosuroides 'Silver Leaf' (ovule) × Amorphophallus pulchellus (pollen), fresh pollen; reported 2014.¹

3. Cyrille Claudel: Amorphophallus pulchellus (ovule) × Amorphophallus myosuroides (pollen); one seedling named Amorphophallus 'Majda'.² Direction follows Cyrille Claudel's own account on the Amorphophallus Hybrids Network (archived 2017), which names Amorphophallus pulchellus the female parent and Amorphophallus myosuroides (silver-leaf form) the male. His 2014 table (Claudel & Mangelsdorff, Aroideana 37) and Alan Galloway's index list the cross the other way round, as Amorphophallus myosuroides 'Silver Leaf' × Amorphophallus pulchellus.

4. Reported in the Amorphophallus Facebook group: Justin Scholten's plant, sold as 'Le Petit Prince' (A. ongsakulii × A. myosuroides 'Silver Center'), which he judged to be A. myosuroides 'Silver Center' × A. pulchellus, in July 2023.³
