1. Steve Jackson: Amorphophallus variabilis 'Sluka's Dark Giant' (ovule) × Amorphophallus hewittii (pollen), fresh pollen; reported 2020.¹

2. Reported in the Amorphophallus Facebook group: the first flowering for Steve Jackson in September 2018;² 1.8 m to the top of the spadix from a 7 kg tuber, with a 2.4 m leaf, in June 2023;³ in growth again in August 2024.⁴
