ARUM ’SOOI’

PARENTAGE:

Arum cylindraceum x Arum maculatum

NOTES:

1. A 2007 Aroid-L post by Peter Boyce listing confirmed natural Arum hybrids gives this hybrid as first recorded from Hungary and present almost everywhere that Arum cylindraceum and Arum maculatum meet in Europe.² The list gives each cross with the pollen parent first, which read that way would make Arum cylindraceum the pollen parent and Arum maculatum the seed parent, the reverse of the ovule and pollen parents listed on this page. It cites no source for the direction, so which parent bore the seed remains unconfirmed.²

OVULE PARENT:

Arum cylindraceum

POLLEN PARENT:

Arum maculatum
