STORY:
STORY TITLE: Waves on a leaf
'Oceana' arose as a sport among seed-grown Monstera deliciosa raised by Michael D'Andrea. Every leaf comes out contorted, with rippled edges and a busy yellow to creamy-yellow variegation, and no two leaves are alike; plants propagated from it keep the same habit, and the registrant had them tested and found free of virus.¹ Logan Conley named it, with the originator's agreement, for markings that recall breaking waves or foam on the sea, and it was released in 2022.¹
