PHILODENDRON 'CREAM PARADISE'
ORIGIN:
Joinville Folhadas; a select form of Philodendron ‘Paraiso Verde’ grown from seed; accepted by the IAS Aroid Cultivar Registry
CULTIVAR DESCRIPTION:
A hemiepiphyte. The leaves have the form of Philodendron ‘Paraiso Verde’ and a full cream-mint aspect, or sometimes a slight isolated green color in a small part of the leaf. No bloom or fruit is recorded. The registrant considers it a unique plant, being unaware of any other plant with stable full cream leaves on every leaf that do not burn (the leaves are resistant), which gives it a permanent full-cream look.¹
NOTES:
STATUS - Accepted by the International Aroid Society’s Aroid Cultivar Registry.
1. Philodendron ‘Cream Paradise’ is a select form of Philodendron ‘Paraiso Verde’, originated by Joinville Folhadas and named by Flavio Cadegiani.¹
2. It was grown from seed with a mint leaf, which became a stabilized full cream mint.¹
3. The name denotes, in the namer’s sense, a Philodendron ‘Paraiso Verde’ with a clear mutation to full cream mint leaves.¹
4. The registrant considers it unique because they know of no other plant with stable full cream leaves on every leaf that do not burn, providing a permanent look of a full cream plant.¹
