SYNGONIUM PODOPHYLLUM 'FLUTTERBY'

ORIGIN:

Casa Flora, Inc., Dallas, Texas (trademark, 1986; unconfirmed)

CULTIVAR DESCRIPTION:

It had the smallest leaves of the 28 cultivars measured in the 1993 Florida trial, where it was a clump-forming plant with about nine shoots per pot, its foliage recorded as green and gray-green with silver-yellow veins.²

NOTES:

1. Hyndman reported in 1987 a patented Casa Flora cultivar of this name derived from tissue-cultured 'White Butterfly'.³

2. Unconfirmed: Reportedly a compact, dwarf version of 'White Butterfly'.¹ Casa Flora of Dallas, Texas, registered Flutterby as a trademark in 1986; the mark was cancelled in 2007.¹ Casa Flora's only Syngonium patent is 'Angelwing' of 1987, so the two names may belong to one plant.¹
