SYNGONIUM PODOPHYLLUM 'NEON'

ORIGIN:

Agri-Starts, Inc., Apopka, Florida

CULTIVAR DESCRIPTION:

Solid bright pink leaves,¹ the broad arrow-shaped new growth almost wholly pink over an olive-cream ground and slowly fading to green tinged cream, without the green marginal mottling of the Allusion series.

NOTES:

1. An Agri-Starts sport listed among Florida's new cultivars in 2002,³ and the parent of the patented 'Neon Robusta', against whose brighter pink the patent compares it.⁴ Boyce recommends it.⁵

2. Unconfirmed: The name has become a collective one for pink-leaved plants not assignable to other cultivars.²
