SYNGONIUM PODOPHYLLUM 'PIXIE'

ORIGIN:

Pothos Plants BV, Honselersdijk, the Netherlands, 1991 (Dutch trade register; unconfirmed)

CULTIVAR DESCRIPTION:

An ultra-compact plant with small green and white leaves,¹ the white radiating abruptly from the veins into dark green.² Clump-forming with fine leaves in the 1993 trial, recorded as green and gray-green with silver veins.³

NOTES:

1. Boyce recommends it.⁵

2. Unconfirmed: Tissue culture perpetuates such dwarf variants easily, and several small white-centered clones circulate under the name.⁴ The Dutch trade database dates the name to 1991 for Pothos Plants BV of Honselersdijk, whose plant stands 20 to 30 cm tall.⁴
