AMORPHOPHALLUS BULBIFER 'RACING STRIPES'

ORIGIN:

Plant Delights Nursery selection; Juniper Level Botanic Garden's list of introductions names Tom McLamb as the source and gives 2008

CULTIVAR DESCRIPTION:

A selection of Amorphophallus bulbifer whose petiole carries longitudinal stripes of camouflage green and silvery-white instead of the more typical rounded pattern.¹ The stalk reaches about 4 feet, and the leaves form wart-like bulbils before they senesce in fall; Plant Delights says the tuber matures in two to four years.¹
