SCINDAPSUS PICTUS 'JADE SATIN'
CULTIVAR DESCRIPTION:
Large, semi-matte, pastel jade green leaves with virtually no silver variegation, subtly shiny in some light.¹,² Steve's Leaves calls it a green form of the species, a climbing aroid whose broad, succulent leaves lie flat against the climbing surface as they do in the wild; growers note that it is rare, slow to grow and slow to root.³,⁴,⁵
VARIEGATED FORMS:
'Jade Satin Aurea' and 'Jade Satin Marble' are listed by Wikipedia as related forms, and Steve's Leaves offers a 'Jade Satin' albo-variegata.⁶,⁷
NOTES:
STATUS - A market name. Not yet accepted by the International Aroid Society. As of September 2026 the IAS Aroid Cultivar Registry holds no record of this name at all - neither accepted nor declined - and there is no plant patent. The name is recorded from nursery and trade sources and is not validly established.
1. Sometimes confused with the jade pothos, Epipremnum aureum 'Jade', which is a different genus.¹
2. Its plain, dark, broad leaf answers the description of the patented 'Exotica' sport 'SUPHA10' of 1999, but no source connects the two.⁸
