ORIGIN:

Garden Arts Nursery, Inc., Longwood, Florida (Paul E. Klinger Jr.); US Plant Patent PP9,663, 1996

CULTIVAR DESCRIPTION:

An erect, compact, freely suckering plant bred to be generally indistinguishable from 'White Butterfly' grown under the same conditions, but resistant to the bacterial blight Xanthomonas campestris pv. dieffenbachiae. In a 15 cm pot it reaches about 25 cm tall and 32 cm wide in 24 weeks from a tissue-culture liner.¹

NOTES:

1. Selected in 1990 from self-pollinated seedlings of 'White Butterfly' (seedling No. 9) by Paul E. Klinger Jr. and patented for Garden Arts Nursery, Longwood, Florida, on 15 October 1996 as US Plant Patent PP9,663. It is one of the few Syngonium cultivars raised from seed rather than selected as a sport.¹,²
